Lisa's focus is to educate, empower and equip...

... those who are survivors, as well as the community, organizations, churches, and schools. Through this

organization, she understands the importance of meeting individuals where they are and helping them see a future they may have never thought possible.

After spending years in education, social services, and the child welfare field, Lisa knows the intricate dynamics that occur within the family unit, and understands the prevalence of domestic violence within homes, as well as in the lives of millions of children. She has intertwined her passion, experience, and education to create systems to assist survivors in finding safety for themselves and their children; she helps survivors to not just survive but thrive.

Lisa is a three-time author and has been featured in multiple magazines and news media outlets sharing her story of surviving domestic violence and life after. Lisa travels throughout the US and abroad speaking and hosting workshops sharing her empowerment-based philosophy – from survivor to thriver.

Lisa currently holds a seat on the Mayor’s Domestic Violence Commission in Orange County, FL. She has a BS in Psychology and a MS in counseling psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is currently a doctoral candidate with her research focus on domestic violence.

As a survivor, Lisa chooses to Stand Up and use her voice to help as many women as possible find theirs. Her motto is until every woman is free.

"I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my

own.” - Audre Lorde
