Freedom Bags
Oftentimes survivors and their children need to leave quickly, without the opportunity to pack or safely retrieve their belongings. In that case, we equip them with 2 weeks worth of items in a duffle bag. We know that a lack of essentials is one reason a survivor may return to an abusive relationship. By removing providing this support, we're removing one reason the survivor may return to their abuser as well as letting them know that someone cares about them and their safety.
Here are some of the items included:

-
Hygiene products
-
Grooming products
-
New or gently used clothing
-
New undergarments
-
Journal
-
Inspirational books
-
Gently used / new toys (for their child/children)
-
Gift cards
-
A disposable phone
-
A supportive hand written note
